Kindergarten & Elementary
Kindergarten students are challenged to problem solve, think deeply, and enjoy learning in a respectful, safe environment. Literacy is a large part of kindergarten, therefore, reading God’s word, memorizing scripture, and discovering unique God given talents will play a major role in each child’s experience at Stafford Academy. Chapel, songs, drama, and art activities will further instill a deep knowledge and love for our Lord. Stafford Academy uses cognitive and social strategies to develop each child. Horizons Curriculum in Language Arts, Phonics, Math and Science are integrated into fun individualized lessons created by our licensed teacher. We prepare our students to enter first grade with the skills required for a successful experience along with a deep love for learning. Our goal is to create an environment that promotes a high level of self worth.
1st & 2nd Grade
We use LIFEPAC, an engaging, Bible-based print curriculum in a Traditional Classroom Setting for our 1st and 2nd Grade classes. Integrating Scripture passages to help students connect daily learning to Biblical Truth. We will cover throughout the year five main subjects of Bible, History & Geography, Language Arts, Math and Science. We support our teachers to fully utilize their creativity and instruction skills using both the core print curriculum, as well as, their unique giftedness as Teachers.
3rd - 6th Grade
We integrate technology and individualized instruction through the core online curriculum and whole group instruction and activities in a 5-day a week in-person class setting. This blended learning environment offers flexibility for each child to succeed at their pace, as well, provides opportunities for whole class engagement. We will utilize an Online Curriculum for 3rd-6th Grade for the core subjects. Ignitia Virtual Academy is the online platform we will use that the student and parent can access 24-7 at school, home or anywhere there is wifi. The Bible-based courses include the five main subject areas of Bible, history and geography, language arts, math, and science. Each student will have their own laptop to access their assignments, mastery-based lessons, quizzes and tests. The lessons include multimedia elements like interactive games, audio and video clips, external web links and off-computer assignments. We fully support the creativity and flexibility of our teachers to blend the individual learning instruction with group instruction and activities throughout the school day.
