When Stafford Academy was established, DeLayne initially worked as the executive assistant which allowed her to see and be involved in many aspects of the school’s growth. She has also been a Stafford Academy parent. Her two youngest children attended and graduated from Stafford so she has great insight about what it's like to be at this school from a parent’s perspective.

Terri Fegler
has taught both Pre-K and preschool at Stafford Academy since 2008. She has
a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children of
all ages in various situations for over 20 years. Prior to joining our staff
at Stafford Academy, Terri taught Preschool at North Clackamas Christian
School, Pre-K at Wilsonville Christian Academy and
homeschooled her children. She has several years experience teaching and
directing in a Before & After School setting and teaching Community School
Classes. Terri loves teaching God's Word to children through stories, drama, object
lessons, and art activities and has taught Sunday School, Awana, VBS, and at
Christian Summer Camps.
Terri teaches children through a variety of hands-on experiences
and a thematic approach as well as individualizing learning to each child's
needs. She loves to give children the opportunity to get messy and play with
items not always welcomed into home environments such as Ooblick, Playdough,
Paint, Glue, Pudding, Jello and Shaving Cream. She believes strongly that
children learn best through play and that teaching children to have fun and
to love learning is a key ingredient to future success in school. One of her
favorite sayings is "Childhood is
a journey, not a race." She loves to watch children's excitement as they
gain new skills, build friendships and begin to believe in, trust and depend
on Jesus Christ.
Some hobbies Terri enjoys are sewing, crafts, photography, scrapbooking,
reading, playing games, walking, baking, country drives and shopping. She feels very blessed to be a part of Stafford
Academy and loves serving the Lord through teaching.
